The Sunbury Art Society is a diverse group of artists, and is this year celebrating its 25th anniversary. The Society’s home, currently at the Boilerhouse on Jackson’s Hill, has been an inspiration to members , resulting in outstanding work in oils, watercolours and other media.

The Sunbury Art Society is a diverse group of artists, and is this year celebrating its 25th anniversary. The Society’s home, currently at the Boilerhouse on Jackson’s Hill, has been an inspiration to members , resulting in outstanding work in oils, watercolours and other media.  The opportunity to display in a working shearing shed as a part of the Sunbury BackRoad festival is a great opportunity to explore a new environment.  Many of the works on display will be for sale and entry to the festival also includes entry to the art show.

Fairy Caitlin joins the festival

Fairy Caitlin and friends will be here to keep those young at heart thoroughly entertained.  Caitlin has been working with Children at festivals, community events and private functions for many years.

Fairy Caitlin and friends will be here to keep those young at heart thoroughly entertained.  Caitlin has been working with Children at festivals, community events and private functions for many years.  She has built up a reputation as a professional performer and will provide a different, exciting and fun time for the children.  Catlin kicks off at 2pm and will conclude as the sun sets, providing a full afternoon of stimulating and enjoyable entertainment for children aged 5-12.

From the ubiquitous Kefta skewers grilled over hot coals to the taking of mint tea, at the Souk Kitchen we aim to bring the experience of the souk (or market) to Australia. Ours is a desire spurred by the simple beauty of street cooking. With a society preoccupied with the shinny and new we bring something very old and humble. So step back, let your senses take over and let us seduce you with food that is simultaneously complex yet beautifully simple.
